Almost all of us want to be healthy, and we’re bombarded every day by advice on how to improve our health. However, some habits have a greater impact on your health than others. Join the Right Tribe
There is a saying that says you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with. This implies that their lifestyle will eventually influence your lifestyle, for better or for worse. If you spend time with people who over-eat unhealthy foods and are sedentary, you’ll probably eat worse and workout less. Conversely, if you spend a lot of time with people who are active, they’ll help you maintain your workout regimen, because they’re following it too. Hang out with people who eat right, and you won’t have to worry about relying on willpower to stick to your diet.
Get Good Sleep
Good sleep is as essential to your health as eating well and exercising. A lack of good sleep will interfere with both of these. For example, if you don’t get enough sleep or poor-quality sleep, your body will try to compensate for the fatigue by craving fat and sugar. If you’re tired, you won’t feel like getting enough exercise. You simply won’t have the energy for it. On top of this, you’ll suffer from impaired mental function and increase your risk of heart disease.

Take Regular Breaks
This matters to everyone, but it is essential if you work at a desk. Get up and walk around for five or ten minutes every hour. This will reduce your stress, offset the damaging effects of being sedentary, and gives you time to stretch or walk. You should likewise take breaks from social media or television. Get up, get moving, and do something else. This will help you break the temptation to mindlessly binge. It can reduce anxiety and depression, too.
