This is delicious and easy! A glass of this healthy treat is great for breakfast or as a post-workout snack. Plus, pumpkin is amazingly soothing for the tummy. Veterinarians recommend it all of the time for stomach/GI issues in animals, but human docs. haven’t caught on yet. Pumpkin is also a great edible addition if you want healthier looking skin. (Tip: Most naturally orange foods are. 🙂 )
1 cup organic pumpkin pie mix
1/4 cup chia seed ( Great source of Omega 3 fatty acids and considered a super antioxidant)
1 cup vanilla soy milk ( You can use regular milk if you prefer. I just like my soy and the flavor better)
3 ice cubes
1/4 tsp. cinnamon ( Cinnamon naturally decreases the glycemic response)
Throw in a blender and mix together. Pour yourself a glass, drink and enjoy.
